As Director, I am immensely proud of the vibrant and thriving learning environment we have cultivated at Lahore Grammar School. Our unwavering mission is to provide quality education, ensuring that every student has access to the expertise of our dedicated subject specialist teachers. We are deeply committed to excellence in education and the consistent academic achievement of our students, as evidenced by their remarkable successes.
Year after year, our students have not only met but exceeded expectations, achieving outstanding results, including numerous world distinctions and prestigious Cambridge Learner Awards. The consistent recognition through accolades like Best Across 3 and 4 subjects, as well as Best Across Eight subjects in A and O Level, speaks volumes about their dedication and the the calibre of our educational approach. The recent Presidential Award 2024 bestowed upon our very own Ammar Faisal of LGS Gulberg further underscores the exceptional talent nurtured within our walls.
Beyond academic prowess, we firmly believe in nurturing well-rounded individuals. About Us
1979 saw a revolution in education spearheaded by a group of dedicated women. Lahore Grammar School (LGS) was founded with a strong commitment to academic excellence and a vision to offer a progressive alternative to the existing educational options available in the country. Then initially focused on the advancement of female education, LGS broadened its scope in 1992 with the inauguration of its first branch for boys. Today, the institution offers Matriculation as well as O’ and A’ Level programmes for both boys and girls.
- Over the years, LGS has evolved in to a nationwide educational network, with branches in Lahore and all major cities of Pakistan, including Karachi, Islamabad, Quetta, Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Multan, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Sheikhupura, Sargodha, Wah Cantt, Gujrat, Rahim Yar Khan, Kharian, Attock and Sahiwal. Further expansion into additional cities is currently under consideration.
- In April 1997, the school launched the Landmark Project, an initiative designed to provide quality education to middle‑income families under the umbrella of the Landmark Project multiple branches have seen established in Lahore, with further expansion planned in other urban centers.
- Demonstrating their commitment to broader educational access, The Board of Directors of LGS established the Foundation Schools, a network focused on providing affordable education to children from lower‑income communities.
- An academic council, drawn from the Board’s membership, is tasked with shaping the educational vision of the school – formulating progressive academic policies, guiding curriculum development, and ensuring the highest standards of teaching and learning across all campuses.
- Lahore Grammar School (LGS) campuses stand as luminous pillars of innovation, inclusivity, and intellectual brilliance. These campuses exemplify what it means to educate with purpose, nurture with compassion, and lead with vision.
- At LGS education is not confined to the mastery of subjects – it is a transformative journey that shapes character, cultivates leadership, and inspires lifelong learning. LGS HR
The LGS Department of Human Resource and Strategy upholds the standards of performance of LGS staff based on principles of fairness, transparency, continuous improvement, and alignment with the school's vision and values. We are also responsible for maintaining and improving standards within the classroom and beyond.
The Human Resource and Strategy Department is responsible for:
- Recruitment and Talent Acquisition: Identifying, attracting, and hiring qualified and diverse individuals who are passionate about education and committed to LGS's high standards.
- Performance Management: Implementing a robust system for setting clear expectations, providing regular feedback, conducting performance evaluations, and supporting the professional growth of all staff members. This includes identifying areas for development and recognizing outstanding contributions.
- Professional Development and Training: Facilitating opportunities for continuous learning and skill enhancement through workshops, training programs, and other resources to ensure staff remain at the forefront of educational best practices.
- Employee Relations: Fostering a positive and supportive work environment, addressing employee concerns, and promoting open communication and collaboration.
- Compensation and Benefits: Administering competitive salaries and comprehensive benefits packages that attract and retain top talent, ensuring equity and compliance.
- Policy Development and Implementation: Creating and maintaining clear and consistent HR policies and procedures that align with legal requirements and promote a fair and equitable workplace.
- Compliance and Legal Adherence: Ensuring that all HR practices comply with relevant labour laws and regulations in Pakistan.
- Employee Well-Being: Promoting the health, safety, and overall well-being of all LGS staff.
- Record Keeping and HR Information Systems: Maintaining accurate and confidential employee records and utilizing HR technology to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
